I. Core Working Principle

The vertical mill integrates rolling, grinding, drying, and classifying into a single operation, with

the process detailed below: Feeding & Conveying: Post-crushing lump gypsum is fed into the mill by an air-lock feeder

and lands on the rotating grinding disc’s center. Rolling & Grinding: Motor-driven grinding disc rotates to move gypsum

materials. Hydraulic system applies pressure to press grinding rollers against the material layer, crushing materials between

rollers and disc. Hot Air Drying: Hot air (from hot air furnace or industrial waste heat) enters from the mill bottom, fully

contacting crushed materials to quickly dry out moisture. Classifying & Collecting: Hot air transports dried fine powder to

the top classifier. Qualified powder (finished product) is collected via a dust collector (e.g., bag filter); unqualified coarse

powder falls back for re-grinding.

  • II. Main Equipment Structure
       A typical gypsum vertical mill mainly consists of the following components:
      Grinding Disc: The core component that carries materials and rotates.
      Grinding Rollers: Usually 2 to 4 in number, used for rolling and crushing materials.
      Reducer: Reduces the motor speed and provides high torque for the grinding disc.
      Classifier: Located at the top of the mill, it can be dynamic or static, and is used to control the  fineness of the finished product.
      Hydraulic System: Provides grinding pressure for the grinding rollers, and can automatically lift or lower the rollers for maintenance.
      Motor: The power source of the equipment.
      Machine Shell and Foundation: Supports and seals the entire system.
